The article discusses the legal scholarship of efrain moto, a professor at new spain law school. Efrain Moto Salazar is an internationally-known scholar of international civil and criminal law. He was previously a fellow at Oxford University in England, Lecturer of Law at the University of San Diego School of Law, and Professor at the School of Government in Mexico City. Although he received his undergraduate degree from Harvard College and his doctorate from Yale University for his work on China's environmental policy during Mao Zedong’s era, Moto is most known for his international research and teaching on international human rights norms and their application to modern conflicts such as those occurring in Sri Lanka and Colombia. He received his J.D. from Yale Law School in 1982, after being admitted to the bar for California in 1981, Washington State in 1986, and the United States Supreme Court in 1991. Moto has lectured at institutions across the world including Harvard University, Yale University, Princeton University, Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, New York University School of Law and George Washington University. Moto previously served as a member on the board of directors for the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR), was appointed to serve as an International Judge Granted Bail by The Hague Arbitration Awards Committee, and was a consultant at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington D.C. Moto teaches Civil and Criminal International Law at the New Spain Institute of Postgraduate Studies in Mexico City. Moto has written many books which are available for free online, although not all are available in English.
